Biden and the End of Greatness

In this speech to party faithful in Toledo Joe Biden talks of his father who "...had to leave to find work..", who used to say, "...it's not whether you get knocked down, it's how quickly you get up...",

However Joe Biden believes it's his and Barack's "job to help America get back up." The Bush Administration "has done so little, so little to help them get back up." How colloquially stated. To me it's obvious in his over simplistic language that he thinks the electorate is stupid. Well if they are, it was with the help of union teachers and government schools. But something larger in his speech struck me. Biden is obviously proud of his dad and thinks he's a great man. I have no reason to question this. His independence, perseverance and strength very likely made him great. But what will happen to greatness with the advent of "Government Bootstraps"? We will no longer be a country of great men and women, but of whiners and "entitlees".

It's been said, "it's not the destination it's the journey". Obama/Biden want to rob America of lessons, trials, character, strength and greatness. What will be left?
