I've long heralded the possible benefits of Global Warming. (Capped because it's a belief system) I mean, generally, wouldn't Minnesotans appreciate shorter Winters and longer Summers? Wouldn't longer growing seasons mean more food for the world? Won't some some previously low rent areas suddenly (or slowly) become toney beach front zip codes? Imagine Babs spending millions to live in Compton.
I know the current breed of alarmist/scientist doesn't want to entertain differing views, but let's assume for a nano-sec that the current short-term warming trend is not man caused. Then aren't we powerless to stop it? And if we (by "we" I mean all living things and Mother Earth) evolved, then could this be part of the process? Shouldn't we make lemonade from lemons? If for no other reason than to cool off? Shouldn't some of our resources be spent on how to benefit on this whole melting ice cap thing. I have every confidence that if it's for real, American ingenuity will find a way to turn it all into a net gain, further pissing off a world that won't stop complaining and start competing.
Well the Chinese Government shares feeling on this matter.
