OK. Remember the
story that lasted for a minute about that "hypocrite" Mitt Romney hiring illegals? This quote is one often bandied....
“You have to have a wall or a fence or electronic surveillance. And you have to have a tamper-proof document to make sure that people who are here are aliens are identified and registered, and people can not hire them unless they’re here legally.” [Fox News, 9/19/06]...as proof of his hypocrisy.
The Boston Globe sent reporters to El Salvador to sus out this non-story. Turns out they were hired the Savadoran-American who was hired by Romney.
Has the Boston Globe or the Washington Post or the New York Times, et al, sent anyone to Indonesia to interview Barak Obama's ex-classmates? Have any of them have since become terrorists? (Guilt by association) Have any of his teachers become radical clerics? What kind of student was he? Have they asked anyone who would know? What was being taught at his school?
No instead, the story became about Fox News making up a story to smear both Obama and Clinton. And this may be true. But the main stream media is so biased, that you can tell in their tone and swiftness that they didn't believe it from the start. Or want to believe it.
The Clinton connection to the story was dismissed by the Clinton camp and believed instantly. Just like Karl Rove was instantly believed about Valerie Plame. No wait. Heck, the Hillary team could float anything they want about Obama and they know it will be blamed on the "vast right-wing conspiracy" by
CNN. CNN did send a correspondant to check out the story. But with the intention of dismissing it.
Their research was largely, limited to reading Obama's published, printed account of those years or to ask him personally. Would such treatment be granted a Republican in a similiar postiion? Yeah right!
That's the story here. Fox News is ratings based bating at best. Don't have cable (I'm a conservationist), but any time I've seen it I've cringed. But CNN just makes me annoyed because of it's obvious bias.
